On behalf of our principal located in Arnhem , we are currently recruiting for a Interim Strategic Buyer.

Background

Our principal is an international company providing supply of medium to complex technology solutions in B2B market supported by wide range of IT services. The technology solutions are sourced by them from external manufacturers. The installation / commissioning and maintenance & support is not conducted by the manufacturers, but by the contracted 3PM suppliers. Our principal operate in D, NL, BE, L – and look for opportunities in surrounding countries within Europe.

Our principal warrant an uptime performance of 99,5% to our B2B customers, and this means that all the contracted suppliers in this supply chain must adhere to high standards of product and services quality.

The market in which our principal operate is new and rapidly expanding internationally. The competition is strong, and this means that the contracted suppliers must offer operational excellence against competitive pricing and tight legal terms and conditions.

Assignment

Finalization of the supplier contracts listed on our European footprint by means of signed supplier contracts by 01st January 2018. In this assignment the key focus is on suppliers working on the 3PM domain: commissioning and maintenance & support of 3rd party electro-technical technology solutions.

The candidate is expected to work independently and in collaboration with the internal stakeholders. Expected key result is to conclude current and new supplier negotiations into firmly signed contracts. In other words: no consultancy, no support, but the candidate is accountable to actively (assertively) execute the supplier negotiations from start to end.

  • The candidate will work with input from the business owner, legal team and Manager Procurement.
  • The supplier contracts should contain as a minimum:
  • Legal terms and conditions
  • Standardized and competitive pricing levels
  • Definition of work packages including Requirements and SLA

Approach:

  • Existing suppliers: finalization of remaining negotiations
  • Existing / potential suppliers: qualification of service capabilities in other European countries / new technologies.
  • Gap analysis against our needs and identification of other potential suppliers. Consolidate into Sourcing plan. Tender(s) where needed.
  • Finalization of supplier contract negotiations.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven results in commercial / legal negotiations of international supplier contracts
  • Strong procurement expertise with (inter)national suppliers working in the industry of 3rd party commissioning and maintenance & support of electro-technical technology solutions.
  • Assertive, results-driven personality whom can comfortably blend negotiation results with sustainable (future) supplier relationships
  • Well experienced negotiator
  • Ability to work fast in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent English language skills. Other European languages an advantage.
